OtherGood to know
- Click a media type to copy it. Searching works on both columns, with or without the leading dot.
- Text types need a charset to be read correctly: text/html on its own is not the same as text/html; charset=utf-8.
- A browser does not trust the extension — it reads the Content-Type header, and sniffs the first bytes when that header is missing or wrong.
- application/octet-stream is the honest answer for unknown bytes, and the one that makes a browser download rather than display.
