Good to know

• Calendar units are counted by walking the calendar, not by dividing: months are 28 to 31 days long, so 31 January to 15 August is six months and fifteen days rather than an average.
• The totals underneath are plain division and always agree with each other, which makes them the ones to quote when the answer has to be checkable.
• Dates are read as local midnight, so a difference in whole days is not disturbed by the time of day.
• Everything happens in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to the server or stored anywhere.
