Good to know

  • Conversion runs on big integers, so a 256-bit key converts as exactly as a small number does — nothing is rounded on the way through.
  • Digits above nine are the letters a to z, so base 36 uses the whole alphabet and anything above that has no agreed spelling.
  • Spaces and underscores in the input are ignored, so a grouped number pasted from code works as it stands.
  • Everything happens in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to the server or stored anywhere.
