Slug and ASCII Folding
Turn a title into a URL-safe slug, or just strip the accents and keep the writing.

Good to know
- Both modes are the same fold: accents come off and the letter underneath stays. A slug then joins what is left into one URL-safe run, while plain ASCII keeps your spacing, punctuation and case.
- The Turkish dotless ı is handled by name rather than by stripping an accent, because it does not have one — nothing decomposes it, and a slug that keeps it is not URL-safe.
- Letters that stand for more than one in ASCII are spelled out: ß becomes ss, æ becomes ae, ø becomes o.
- Lower-casing uses the plain rules on purpose. Turkish rules would turn an I into ı — the very character the fold has just removed.
