Good to know
- The conversion happens entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded or stored anywhere.
- Base64 makes a file roughly a third larger. Inlining pays off for small icons and logos, not for photographs.
- A data URI works anywhere a URL does: img tags, CSS url(), e-mail templates, JSON payloads.
- Files above 5 MB are skipped — their Base64 output is a wall of text no browser handles comfortably.
