The list stays in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent to the server or stored anywhere.

One pair per line, separated by a comma. Three names on a line block all three pairings, which is how to write a family. It works both ways round.
The draw is built from this. The same seed and the same list always give the same winners — announce it before you draw and everyone can check the result. It is used exactly as written, dashes and capitals included.

Good to know

  • Nobody draws themselves, and two people written the same way cannot draw each other either — on a slip of paper they would be the same name.
  • Shuffling until nobody has drawn themselves works for a plain list and stalls once exclusions are added. This assigns the most constrained person first, so whoever has a single option left is served while that option still exists.
  • Whoever runs the draw sees every pair, because there is no server to send them from. It suits a draw done together, or one run by somebody who is not taking part.
  • The same list, the same exclusions and the same seed always give the same pairs.
