Good to know
- Eight bits to the byte, always, with the leading zeroes kept. Dropping them would make the result impossible to read back.
- This is bytes in base two, not numbers. A character above ASCII becomes two or three bytes, so it becomes two or three groups.
- Reading ignores spaces and line breaks, so a stream copied out of a terminal parses as it stands.
- Everything happens in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to the server or stored anywhere.
